A man that is refined in all forms; Zhongli is dressed in an elegant and form-fitting outfit (a casual fit, as he calls it) that draws the attention of many.And yet despite carrying himself as a humble funeral consultant, his wisdom and knowledge in many subjects almost betrays his true age.

Zhongli is described by most as the mysterious consultant for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. He performs funerals of all manners, including those for sending off adepti which must be perfect in every aspect of its execution. While vast and knowledgeable in a variety of fields—almost like a living textbook—he has a tendency to mismanage his savings with his brash and impulsive buying habits.There are only a few select individuals who know him as Morax, the former Geo Archon—or otherwise known as Rex Lapis by the people of Liyue. He is retired in the guise of a human after many millennia of protecting and guiding the nation, believing in the strength and unity of his people to carry Liyue forward.This makes him a rather open-minded individual, as he often finds himself amused by the many tales and stories that his people share of Rex Lapis (even if they are so blatantly untrue). It is much unlike Morax who many thought as an unmovable mountain wearing a heart of stone, willing to go to many lengths for the sake of his people. But even a stone-heart has its fair share of cracks, worn by years of grief and sacrifices.However—whether Zhongli or Morax—the importance of contracts has always been something he took, and will continue to take with utmost importance. Those who break a contract of any kind shall suffer the Wrath of the Rock, as Rex Lapis would put it.And yet dspite his wisdom and age, the consultant can also known to be playful and mischievous in his own way (especially by those close to him). He quite enjoys putting on his oh-so-polite smile while feigning ignorance.He is a mere consultant, after all. Nothing more and nothing less.
